Author Guidelines

Authors are expected to follow the official IJEPI journal template when preparing manuscripts. All submitted articles must be original, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts must be written in clear, academic English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Manuscripts should be structured using the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract (150–250 words, with 3–5 keywords)

  3. Introduction

  4. Methods

  5. Results and Discussion

  6. Conclusion

  7. References (APA 7th edition style)

Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx) and follow the APA 7th edition citation style. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript is grammatically correct and free of plagiarism.

Before submission, authors are required to:

  • Ensure all authors have significantly contributed to the manuscript and are listed with full name, affiliation, and active email.

  • Check that figures, tables, and references are properly formatted.

  • Upload the manuscript and all supplementary files via the OJS submission system.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off each of the following items:

1. The manuscript has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
3. The manuscript follows the IJEPI template and APA 7th edition citation style.
4. All authors have read and approved the manuscript.
5. The similarity index is below 20% (checked via Turnitin or equivalent).
6. Ethical approval is attached (if applicable).
7. Figures and tables are clear, properly labeled, and cited in the text.
8. References use at least 50% sources from the last 5 years.
9. The manuscript includes a title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.
10. The author agrees to comply with the publication ethics and policies of the journal.

Research Article

Articles in this section are original research papers in the fields of educational policy, instructional innovation, or educational technology. All submissions are subject to a double-blind peer-review process.

Policy Review

This section includes conceptual reviews or policy syntheses in education, including comparative studies, literature reviews, and policy critiques. All manuscripts undergo peer review by two expert reviewers.
