Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to the International Journal of Educational Policy and Innovation (IJEPI) must follow the guidelines below to ensure that all submissions meet the journal’s academic and ethical standards.

1. Originality and Publication Ethics

  • Manuscripts must be original and have not been previously published.

  • The manuscript must not be under review in any other journal.

  • All authors listed must have approved the submitted version.

  • All manuscripts will undergo a double-blind peer-review process.

  • Plagiarism screening is conducted using Turnitin, with a required similarity index of below 20%.

2. Language

  • Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

  • The writing must be clear, academic, and well-structured.

3. Manuscript Structure

All manuscripts must follow the following sections:

  1. Title

  2. Abstract (150–250 words) with 3–5 keywords

  3. Introduction

  4. Methods

  5. Results and Discussion

  6. Conclusion

  7. References (APA 7th edition)

4. Manuscript Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)

  • Paper size: A4

  • Word count: 3,000–7,000 words

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

  • Spacing: 1.5

  • Margins: 2.5 cm (all sides)

5. Figures and Tables

  • All figures and tables must be clearly readable.

  • They must be numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).

  • Provide concise captions and sources (if applicable).

  • Place tables/figures close to their first mention in the text.

7. Submission Requirements

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure:

  • The manuscript follows the IJEPI template.

  • All authors are listed with full name, affiliation, and email.

  • Similarity index is below 20%.

  • Ethical approval is included (if applicable).

  • References include at least 50% sources from the last 5 years.

  • Figures and tables are correctly formatted.

  • The manuscript includes title, abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references.

Authors are required to confirm that their submission meets the following requirements before proceeding. Manuscripts that do not comply with this checklist may be returned to the authors for revision.

  1. Originality – The manuscript has not been previously published and is not under review by another journal.

  2. File Format – The submission file is in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).

  3. Journal Template – The manuscript follows the official IJEPI template and adheres to the required structure, formatting, and style guidelines.

  4. Author Approval – All listed authors have read, approved, and contributed significantly to the manuscript.

  5. Plagiarism Check – The similarity index is below 20%, verified through Turnitin or an equivalent tool.

  6. Ethical Compliance – Ethical approval documents are provided when the study involves human subjects, children, institutions, or sensitive data.

  7. Figures and Tables – All figures, tables, and illustrations are clear, properly labeled, cited in the text, and included in high-quality format.

  8. References – The reference list follows APA 7th edition and includes at least 50% recent sources (published within the last 5 years).

  9. Manuscript Completeness – The manuscript includes the required components:

    • Title

    • Abstract and Keywords

    • Introduction

    • Methods

    • Results and Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • References

  10. Publication Ethics – The authors agree to follow the journal’s policies on publication ethics, peer-review, authorship, and conflict of interest.

  11. Data Accuracy – All data, citations, and statements in the manuscript are accurate and properly verified.

  12. Revision Commitment – The authors agree to revise the manuscript promptly if requested by reviewers or editors.

Policy Review

This section includes conceptual reviews or policy syntheses in education, including comparative studies, literature reviews, and policy critiques. All manuscripts undergo peer review by two expert reviewers.

By submitting a manuscript to the International Journal of Educational Policy and Innovation (IJEPI), authors agree to the following terms:

    Authors retain full copyright over their work.

  5. Co-Author Agreement:
    Authors certify that all listed co-authors have agreed to the submission and publication of the manuscript.

  6. Ethical Compliance:
    Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work complies with ethical research standards, copyright regulations, and proper citation practices.
